These donations will be directed through the Shanghai Charity Foundation and the Shanghai Daci Public Welfare Foundation to carry out the "Filial Piety and Respect for the Elderly" series of charity projects and the "Children's Accidental Injury Project", bringing warmth and care to the elderly and children.

As an annual charity event, the "Illuminate Wishes" charity auction activity has long focused on the livelihood of the elderly and children, innovatively adopting the integration model of "art+charity", widely raising funds, and deeply promoting the work of helping the elderly and children. The Shanghai Charity Foundation and the Shanghai Daci Public Welfare Foundation, as well-known charity brands in Shanghai, have been working together for 8 years on this project. Both parties continuously expand the breadth and depth of brand promotion, actively innovate, and create a strong philanthropic atmosphere in society.

The 27 artworks participating in this charity auction have their own charm. The brushwork of the painting is vigorous and majestic, with classical and elegant color settings; Calligraphy works use steady yet agile strokes, showcasing a free and unrestrained temperament; The scripture is written devoutly and neatly, with a long-lasting charm of calligraphy and ink, and each piece is admirable. Among the auction items, there are also precious paintings by Mr. Chen Peiqiu, a modern landscape pioneer, and Mr. Han Min, a versatile artist who combines traditional skills with contemporary style. The noble qualities of the two old gentlemen, who are receptive to good advice and indifferent to fame and fortune, are admirable. In addition, the handwritten artwork donated by the famous calligrapher and painter Mr. Han Shuo on site was selected as the first item for auction and won by the 66th bidder for 250000 yuan; The handmade purple clay teapot donated by young artist Wang Qiang on site as the second item for auction was ultimately sold for 210000 yuan.

During the auction process, Venerable Zhao Cheng, the abbot of Longhua Ancient Temple in Shanghai and the chairman of Shanghai Daci Public Welfare Foundation, and Mr. Yu Jingyu, a registered auctioneer of Shanghai Auction House Co., Ltd., jointly held the gavel. Zhao Chengda, with his unique humorous hosting style, fully mobilized the atmosphere on site, and every painting bid was filled with excitement. Especially for the 6th auction item 'Spring Breeze Still', the bidding process was extremely intense, and it was repeatedly intercepted by kind-hearted buyers, ultimately selling for a high price of 1.18 million yuan.

It is worth mentioning that in order to support the earthquake stricken areas in Shigatse, Xizang, Zhao Chengda wrote the character of blessing, and invited young calligraphers in the city to write Spring Festival couplets to send blessings. A total of 1.366 million yuan was raised for charity. These donations were also donated to the Shanghai Charity Foundation at the event site, and will be directed towards post disaster reconstruction work in the Shigatse area, bringing hope and strength to the people in the disaster stricken areas.
